A person involved in a crash outside Ballymena has been taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital as the police and Air Ambulance attended the scene.
The emergency operation is currently taking place following the accident on the Slaght Road.
Images captured from the scene show the Air Ambulance having landed on the road to assist.
A PSNI spokesperson confirmed the road is currently closed in both directions following a road traffic collision.
“Diversions are in place. Please seek an alternative route if possible,” they added.
In a statement the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said: “The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 11:31 on Friday 15 November following reports of an RTC on the Slaght Road, Ballymena.
“NIAS despatched three Emergency Ambulances and two Ambulance Officers to the incident. The Charity Air Ambulance was also tasked to attend.
“Following initial assessment and treatment at scene, one patient was taken to Royal Victoria Hospital by Ambulance.”
