The former Revolution in Cheltenham will soon reopen after a new operator stepped in. Town-based Epic Bars announced that the former Baptist Church in Clarence Street is set to reopen on Friday (November 15) under the apt moniker The Chapel.
At first it will welcome patrons on Friday and Saturday evenings, though there are more comprehensive plans for a grander reopening slated for the new year. Epic Bars’ other ventures include as Home and Botanic nightclub on St George’s Street.
Revolution closed under a restructuring by its parent company, and finally closed its doors after a send-off party on Friday, November 1. The relaunch of the site as The Chapel promises over 30 new jobs and plans to restore its day-and-night allure.
Epic Bars director Duncan Squires said: “We are thrilled to be able to announce our acquirement of this prominent and celebrated location. Cheltenham is our company’s hometown and it would’ve been a discredit to the late night scene here to allow it to sit empty. We will trade the business every Friday and Saturday night into the New Year while we finalise our plans for 2025 and beyond.
“The former operators did a terrific job over their tenure here and we hope guests old and new will continue to visit the site”. Epic Bars and Clubs has 23 locations across the UK including the Trilogy, Labyrinth and Botanic brands, reports Gloucestershire Live.
