The King is planning to open two Coronation Food Hubs to mark the project’s first anniversary.
The hubs will be major distribution centres, designed to save and circulate tonnes of surplus food and aim to transform the ability of charities like FareShare and the Felix Project to support communities most in need.
The monarch will open the initiative’s first two hubs, one in person and one virtually.
King Charles will tour the new facility, meeting beneficiaries and representatives of food banks, schools and community groups.

During his visit, the King will view a newly installed industrial freezer that will increase capacity by 400 percent, significantly improving the charity’s ability to preserve more surplus food.
The King’s Birthday is November 14, the day he was born in 1948, but his official birthday was marked on June 15, when the King’s Birthday Parade, commonly known as Trooping the Colour, was held in London.
Princess Kate made her first public appearance of 2024 at Trooping the Colour.
It was a milestone appearance for the Princess of Wales following her cancer diagnosis at the start of the year.
