Every year, thousands of music enthusiasts scramble to secure the coveted Glastonbury Festival ticket. The world-renowned festival is set to return to Somerset for four days of musical delight in the summer of 2025, with tickets going on sale this week.
The festival, which takes place on the final weekend in June, will run from 25-29 June 2025. Despite millions registering for Glastonbury tickets, most are unsuccessful as tickets sell out within minutes.
Approximately 200,000 people attend the festival annually. The festival celebrates global music and has seen past headliners such as Beyoncé, Adele, David Bowie, Coldplay, Muse, Kendrick Lamar, Gorillaz, and Kanye West.
Glastonbury is a non-profit festival that donates millions to charities like Oxfam, Greenpeace, and WaterAid, making a significant impact on both local and global causes. The organisers emphasise environmental sustainability, banning single-use plastics and enforcing recycling at the annual event.
So, when do tickets go on sale for Glastonbury 2025?
Tickets are released on two separate occasions. If you’re purchasing festival tickets with coach travel, they go on sale at 6pm on Thursday 14 November.
General admission tickets go on sale at 9am on Sunday 17 November.
How can you get tickets for Glastonbury 2025?
Firstly, you must be registered online for ticket purchasing, which is free to do. But registration closes at 5pm Monday 11 November.
You must complete the registration process or you will not be able to access the ticket sale. If you successfully register, then ticket sale will then take place on the Glastonbury Festival website.
But this year, Glastonbury is making some adjustments to the notoriously tense booking process. Showrunners have announced, “The booking process itself for 2025 will be the same as in previous years, however, the way in which you join the booking process is changing.”
Instead of refreshing the page repeatedly to gain access, festival-goers will be randomly assigned a place in the queue if they’re already on the site when sales begin at 6 pm or 9 am. Once at the front of the queue, hopefuls will enter registration details for themselves and up to five others.
How much do Glastonbury tickets cost?
Tickets cost £373.50 + £5 booking fee. A £75 deposit (plus coach fare if booking a ticket + coach travel) is due when booking in November, and the remainder can be paid up until the first week of April 2025.
Glastonbury Festival has more than 100 stages including the main Pyramid Stage, Other Stage and West Holts Stage. As well as music acts, Glastonbury also has theatre, dance and art.
