Robert F Kennedy Jr branded Donald Trump’s campaign diet as “just poison” during a recent appearance on The Joe Polish Show podcast.

The former Democratic candidate, who later endorsed Trump, made the remarks during Tuesday’s live recording of the marketing industry podcast.

Kennedy offered a scathing assessment of the food served aboard Trump’s campaign plane, highlighting the former president’s well-documented affinity for fast food.

“The stuff that he eats is really bad,” Kennedy told the podcast host.

According to Kennedy’s account, options aboard Trump’s campaign aircraft are severely limited.

“You don’t have the choice, you’re either given KFC or Big Macs. That’s when you’re lucky and then the rest of the stuff I consider kind of inedible,” he explained.

Trump’s fondness for fast food has been previously highlighted, including a photo opportunity where he posed as a McDonald’s fry cook in Pennsylvania during his presidential campaign.

Kennedy revealed that one of Trump’s friends claimed to have never seen the former president drink water.

This observation was echoed by UFC’s Dana White, who has maintained a close relationship with Trump for two decades.

“He said that sometimes he’ll sit through a fight with Trump—and he’s [there for] five hours [during] the fight—and said he has never seen Trump drink a glass of water. Never,” Kennedy recounted.

Instead, Trump appears to favour Diet Coke as his beverage of choice.

Recent footage from Mar-a-Lago appears to confirm Trump’s beverage preferences.

A behind-the-scenes vlog shared by Trump’s granddaughter Kai captured election night scenes showing the former president drinking what appeared to be a glass of coke.

The footage also showed an aide delivering takeaway food to Trump at the Florida resort.

Kennedy also shared insights about Trump’s remarkable stamina, particularly regarding his sleep patterns.

“He has this extraordinary energy and the last day we were with him he was up 48 hours, so when he gave his acceptance speech he had been up 48 hours, literally 48 hours with no sleep,” Kennedy said of the 78-year-old former president.

The 70-year-old Kennedy admitted he couldn’t match Trump’s endurance, noting: “I feel like I have a lot of endurance, but overnight at this point… I could do that a lot when I was a kid, but he does it all the time.”
