Donald Trump’s comfortable US election victory is the “beginning of the end” of critical race and gender, according to Matt Goodwin.
Speaking on GB News, the pollster and political commentator clashed with ex-Labour adviser James Schneider on the reasons behind the 78-year-old Republican’s win.
Goodwin said the American public were standing up for gender rights and the left are now waking up to “realise the woke have lost”.
In a furious rant, he said: “The rights of women and the rights of our children are not some silly culture war.

“This stuff matters. It matters for the protection of women. It matters for how we understand the importance of biological sex, how we protect children.
“It’s not some silly culture war, which is how people on the left see it. This is what is really going on.
“You guys have realised now with Donald Trump taking all levers of power in the US that the woke have lost.
“This is the beginning go the end. I thought that was going to happen anyway. Kamala Harris has been advocating little boys can become little girls and little girls can become little boys.
“That stuff is now going to get rooted out of institutions across the West and you guys haven’t yet realised that the reason you’ve lost average voters, the reasons you’ve lost the public, is because you’ve been downplaying this stuff, saying it’s a silly culture war.”
Schneider hit back to argue that polls in the US indicated the economy was on the forefront of voters’ minds, as opposed to cultural matters like gender.
Schneider said Goodwin’s argument was ‘nonsense’

“Where was the so-called radical gender ideology or whatever you’re talking about?”, he fumed.
The ex-Corbyn adviser said Goodwin’s point was “nonsense”.
Donald Trump said this week he wants to ‘make American children safer’ by protecting them from ‘woke ideology’.
The Republican leader said that upon taking office, he will ban doctors from medically transitioning children, something he called ‘child abuse’ and ‘child sexual mutilation’.
The 78-year-old opposes all physical, chemical and emotional methods used to change a child’s gender like puberty blockers and gender fluidity promotion.
