Martine McCutcheon didn’t hold back as she made a dig at the friends she has lost since her split from partner of 18 years, Jack McManus.

The former EastEnders legend shared earlier this year that she and McManus had ended their relationship, making clear the split had been her husband’s decision.

The 48-year-old Love Actually star was married to musician McManus for 12 years, with the couple having been in a relationship for six years prior.

The two share one son, nine-year-old Rafferty, with the singer emphasising following the split how they will continue to parent their child together.

In a recent social media post, she touched on the struggles she has faced since the separation, admitting she’d been avoiding socialising since the split and going on to slam certain friends who had “picked a side”.

Detailing how one close friend had managed to get her out for a fun evening, she shared a series of snaps of the two looking dolled up as they hit the town.

She captioned the post: “About Last night… My darling friend @samanthajm managed to get me ‘Out Out’ for first time in months!!!!! Whoop whoop!”

The lengthy post continued: “If I’m honest, I was feeling all ‘blah’ and not into it at all!

“But she wasn’t giving up on me and she was right not to! We had SO much fun! Whoop! Whoop!

“We were the last ones there (Oh yes! Turns out Martine’s still got it!)”

It seems the night was exactly what McClutcheon had needed as she added: “A couple we met, were so lovely too and apparently, have followed my career and my insta for years (Great taste obvs!)

“So a massive shout out to them – Thank you for the lovely compliments, care and for making my head swell to the size of Brazil!”

However, she also addressed the losses that had come with her split as she continued: “And Samantha, you know that any break up after 18 years isn’t easy, in fact there are some facets that can feel brutal…

“Mutual ‘friends’ have gone silent, or have clearly picked a side, when they were never, even asked to! But I’m so lucky to have you!

“You are a gracious, fair, loving, thoughtful, friend and you show them all how it’s done darling!

“Thank you for being so wonderful to me and Rafferty and Jack and for taking the time to make me feel seen and heard.

“It means so much! I love you ‘Mate!’ #watchout #shesoutout #greatnight #neededitmorethanithought #greatfriends.” (sic)

Back in August, McCutcheon took to Instagram to share the sad news of her separation.

“After much thought and consideration, Jack has decided it’s best for us to separate after 18 years together and I accept his decision.

“We are both so very blessed and grateful for our beautiful, 9 year old son Rafferty, who’s happiness and welfare, has always been, and will continue to be, our number 1 priority.” (sic)

She went on to say the pair “look forward” to being parents to their son “for the rest of our lives”.
