Lewis Hamilton will reportedly move into Enzo Ferrari’s old house when he makes the switch to Italy next year – a privilege previously only given to Michael Schumacher.
The 39-year-old is set for the biggest change in his F1 career when he jumps ship from Mercedes and teams up with Charles Leclerc at Ferrari.
Fred Vasseur had a big influence on Hamilton’s move, with the pair previously working together during the junior categories.
But Hamilton spent his F1 career driving in a Mercedes engine and for British-based teams.

That’s all set to change next year as he takes the step into the unknown and follows in the footsteps of some of the sport’s greatest-ever drivers.
And Ferrari will reportedly honour the seven-time world champion by putting him up in the house of Ferrari’s founding father.
According to Sky Sport Italia’s Carlo Vanzini, Hamilton will move into the house by the Fiorano circuit to help settle him into life with the team.
The F1 commentator points out that Schumacher was the only other Ferrari driver who was offered Enzo’s house to stay in.
It’s been claimed that Enzo’s old office has been preserved close to how he left it before his death in August 1988.
The house is three storeys high and every shutter and window frame is painted bright red in the colours of the Italian racing team.
Enzo’s son, Piero, gave an insight into Schumacher’s stay at ‘The Farm House’ last year during his heyday with Ferrari.
“For sure, really was THE champion Michael,” Pierro said.

“Really was very professional, was very brave, was very intelligent.
“My father for sure, [would have been] very happy to have a driver like him.
“You know Michael was sleeping here upstairs! I never saw a guy like him really. So concentrated in what he was doing.”

Hamilton has just three races left with Mercedes before he makes the switch to Ferrari next year.
And he could be joining a Ferrari team on the back of winning the Constructors’ Championship for the first time since 2008.
Ferrari currently sit just 36 points behind McLaren in the standings heading into the Las Vegas Grand Prix this weekend.
