As fans prepare for the arrival of Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour in Canada, there’s one question on many ticket-holders’ minds: What should I wear?

According to Sarah Chapelle, author of the bestselling book Taylor Swift Style, the answer is easy.

“Tights and boots and knits,” she suggests of an easy, Swift-inspired look. Whether you opt to dive deep into the hidden meanings and messages (called Easter Eggs by Swifties) in Swift’s impressive catalogue of work to inspire your outfit, or stick to pieces that Swift herself has worn, Chapelle stresses one element of Eras Tour style for everyone attending.

“Dress comfortably for you, whatever that means,” Chapelle says. “Because, the concert tickets are a cost, and costuming can be a cost. So just have fun with it — and be comfortable.”

Still wondering what to wear to The Eras Tour? Here are five Swift-approved fashion items to consider:

Dynamite Julia Corset Top.

Dynamite Julia Corset Top

This corset-style top from the Canadian brand Dynamite hits on several Swift codes. The corset design is a nod to the Dior corset top the singer-songwriter wore to this year’s MTV Video Music Awards. And the red hue is, somewhat obviously, an homage to her fourth studio album, released in 2012, titled Red.

Aldo Auster Knee-High Boots.

Whether ankle, knee-high or even thigh-high, Swift is known for rocking heeled boots. This platform pair from the Canadian brand Aldo leans in to the superstar’s preference for said footwear styles. And, thanks to the company’s Pillow Talk insole for added comfort, these boots are perfect for dancing in all night long during the Eras Tours dates.

Mejuri Garnet Ring.

Mejuri Heirloom Ring

A jewelry piece that’s owned by Swift herself, this ring from Canadian fine jewelry brand Mejuri is crafted from 18-karat yellow gold with a Red-era-approved garnet gemstone at its centre. The ring went viral when Swift wore it on the field to congratulate her beau Travis Kelce after an NFL game in January 2024.

Reformation Hanna Skirt.

One brand that Swift seems to wear on repeat is the Los Angeles-based line Reformation. The company’s stylish pieces have been spotted on Swift many (many!) times throughout the years, most notably its miniskirts. Designed with a flirty, fitted waist and an A-line fit, we feel like this Hanna Skirt would be a perfect piece for an Eras attendee.

When in doubt, you can always wear a bold red lip. The shade has become synonymous with Swift’s style. While she’s noted in the past that she’s a fan of the cult-classic shade Ruby Woo from MAC Cosmetics, fans and beauty writers have also pointed to this Fenty Beauty product in the shade Uncensored as another possible go-to for the superstar entertainer.
