Ange Postecoglou admitted he’s struggling to get the best from his Tottenham players after their shock 2-1 defeat to Ipswich on Sunday.
Spurs went into the game looking for a return to winning ways after crashing to defeat against Galatasaray in the Europa League on Thursday night.
But Ipswich were superior throughout, with Sammie Szmodics and Liam Delap on target before Rodrigo Bentancur pulled one back in the second half.
Tottenham continue to lack consistency, with their season full of false dawns so far.

And Postecoglou has now honestly admitted he’s struggling to get the best from his players in the wake of such a poor result.
“Hugely disappointing. We started slow and passively,” he told the BBC.
“We gave ourselves a mountain to climb. Second half we had chances but didn’t do enough to win the game.
“It’s just down to me. I’m not getting consistent performances from the players. It’s something I need to address.

“I’m the person in charge so that’s usually the way it goes. I take responsibility.
“We can’t give ourselves those kind of mountains to climb.”
Postecoglou was also asked about Ipswich players going down to waste time as they battled to close out the contest.
But the former Celtic boss opted against criticising those antics by saying: “It seems to be the way the Premier League is going. Clubs are taking strategic time-outs.
“We just have to cop it. It’s up to the officials not me.”
While it was a nightmare day for Tottenham, it was a brilliant one for Ipswich.
They have now tasted victory in the Premier League for the first time since this season, boosting their chances of staying in the division in the process.
And Delap reacted to their win by saying: “It means so much.

“We’ve put in so many great performances and just lacked that final bit.
“The performance was terrific. This is a horrible place to come. We couldn’t be happier.
“The manager is so good. He helps us every week. We’ve shown today we can stick to that [plan].”
Ipswich will be hoping to build on their win over Tottenham when they face Manchester United after the international break.

The Red Devils appear to have discovered some form, having beaten Leicester 2-0 on Sunday.
As for Tottenham, their next match is against Manchester City on November 24.
