North Bristol NHS Trust will be celebrate National Inter Faith Week from 11 to 15 November at Southmead Hospital.
This will be an opportunity to engage the community in a celebration of religious and cultural diversity. The event will shine a spotlight on the values of inclusivity and understanding, with activities designed to connect patients, staff, and the local community through shared experiences.
The week kicks off with a launch event in the atrium of the Brunel building on November 11. Attendees are encouraged to wear traditional attire reflecting their cultural or religious heritage.
Throughout Inter Faith Week, there will be live performances showcasing various religious and cultural traditions, including African, Indian, and Turkish-Kurdish music and dance, offering a unique cultural experience within the hospital setting. Creative workshops will provide a space for artistic expression and healing, while reflective spaces will provide the opportunity for inter faith conversation and spiritual connection, open to people of all beliefs and backgrounds.
