Jude Bellingham scored to his end his Real Madrid goal drought against Osasuna on Saturday afternoon – but his team-mates were left in tears during the showdown at the Bernabeu after picking up injuries in the emphatic 4-0 win.

It has been a frustrating season so far for the England international, who has struggled to replicate his dazzling performances from last term.

Prior to Saturday’s clash, Bellingham was being criticised by the Spanish media.

He was abject on Tuesday as they lost 3-1 to AC Milan, with the 21-year-old throwing a strop after being hooked with 15 minutes left on the clock.

Real went into their showdown with Osasuna knowing they needed to win to get their season back on track.

And it was a good day for Bellingham, with the youngster netting his side’s second goal after Vinicius Jr broke the deadlock.

The Real star performed his signature celebration after scoring, with the relief evident on his face.

Vini Jr then grabbed his second goal of the match in the 61st minute before clinching his hat-trick in the 69th, with the LaLiga giants getting their season back on track with a much-needed win.

It was not, however, a perfect day at the office.

Two Real players appeared to leave the pitch in tears, with Eder Militato and Rodrygo both forced out of the proceedings.

Real boss Carlo Ancelotti will be hoping the injuries are nothing serious, despite the devastated reactions of the pair.

The result means Los Blancos are now six points behind Barcelona at the top of the table, having both played 12 matches each.

But Barcelona have been nothing short of sensational this season, with Robert Lewandowski particularly impressive as they target the LaLiga title.

Meanwhile, regarding Bellingham, Thierry Henry was critical of the England star earlier in the week.

And the former Arsenal forward expressed a belief Bellingham was struggling to gel with Kylian Mbappe, who joined from Paris Saint-Germain back in the summer.

“It’s always Bellingham trying to make the run, trying to make the team play, running in behind, trying to break the line,” he told CBS Sports.

“I think there is a little frustration. Your nine isn’t going, and your 10 is going. I know it can happen sometimes but not all the time. Every single time.

“I know he (Mbappe) is not a [natural] number nine and that this maybe is not what he likes to do.

“Do you think he (Bellingham) likes to make those runs, try and stretch the team?

“He’ll do it because he has to do it, because his desire speaks, his will speaks.

“You don’t win games like that. You don’t win games with your 10 breaking the line, coming back, trying to bend his run, trying to defend, trying to go the other side.”
