VOTE TRUDEAU OUT
My, my, such gnashing of teeth, foaming of the mouth, Linda Blair (Exorcist) head-spinning. The Hollywood “elite,” those in ivory academic towers, the MSM, are shocked — how dare Americans think/vote for themselves, why didn’t the rabble do as they were directed? Warm up the private planes, unlock the gated communities, they’re leaving — as if. True to form, the Trudeau media is ramping up — only he can save Canada from the “end of democracy” — Trump. Forget the last nine years, the inflation, housing, debt, medical crisis, division of ethnic groups, scandals — Captain Canada to the rescue. Trudeau and the Liberal Party, God willing and the creek don’t rise, will go down in flames this next election, he himself will go down in history as the worst PM since his papa.

(It was all about the economy and Americans remembered what it was like under President-elect Donald Trump. They had more money in their pockets, wages increased and inflation was tamed. For Canadians, we desperately want our chance to retire the Trudeau Liberals)

TEARS FOR A LOSS
The day after the American election, I saw a Kalama Harris supporter on TV with tears running down her cheeks. She looked stunned by disbelief. Seeing her reminded me of the shock I experienced when I was about her age. The day John F. Kennedy was assassinated. His charisma and optimism had been globally inspirational. When I heard he was dead, my eyes became blurred by tears. I went for a run, perhaps trying to distance myself from the reality. I had kept asking myself, “Why? Why? Why?” Later when Martin Luther King, Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy were murdered, I was appalled but not emotional. Possibly I had cloaked myself with a thin layer of armour by then. No doubt the young lady has been asking herself, ‘Why? Why? Why?’ Hopefully her sorrow will not blind her from recognizing the world is filled with countless decent, caring, thoughtful people such as the one who wrote: ‘It is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness.’
