The wait is over.
Colour and individuality are finally in vogue in the PWHL, a league that spent its inaugural year — out of necessity, mind you — in muted tones and generic uniforms.
Gone is the uniformity from the league uniforms, replaced with colour, character and a newness that can only take an already super product and make it even better.
All six teams received team names and logos just over three weeks ago and on Thursday unveiled their home and away jerseys.
The Toronto Sceptres’ look starts with a rich blue base and is accentuated with navy paneling along the sleeves and waist. Precise yellow lines and a matching collar offset the blues with the striking gold and yellow crest providing the finishing touch to the uniform.
“I was so excited when I first saw the jersey design,” second-year defender Kali Flanagan said vis a team release. “Our new colours are so sharp and the logo looks incredible on the jerseys.”
The team’s alternate jersey in white is even more striking, although that is a personal opinion.
Fans looking to purchase the Sceptres wear or any of the league’s new looks have early access online exclusively at The Official PWHL Shop which can be accessed at bauer.com.
In-store purchasing at league retailers Canadian Tire, Sport Chek and Pro Hockey Life begins Nov. 14.
