Emergency services are at the scene of a serious house fire in west Belfast.
It’s understood the blaze broke out at a terrace property on Cavendish Street in the Beechmount area of the city.
Several fire appliances from Springfield and Central Fire stations are in attendance.
Local residents raised the alarm after seeing smoke coming from the property.
Taking to social media the Beechmount Residents Collective said: “Another fast response from residents who made the 999 call and brilliant work from the fire department.
“We hope the family are not too shook up and are all safe.”
NIFRS have been contacted for comment.
