Looking across the water from Marbella, I can’t help but feel my decision to leave the UK for Marbella has been vindicated, courtesy of Rachel Reeves and her insane budget of doom.

People here in the expat community are scratching their heads and wondering how their countrymen and women have been duped into handing Keir Starmer’s student union politicians 70 million lives and a £2.5 trillion economy to practise on.

I guess part of the answer might lie in the increasingly ludicrous procession of Tory PMs since 2010 – the Tony Blair tribute act; the imitation Iron Lady; the caddish clown, the bat-shit crazy person, and the charisma free autocrat.

But even by the low bar set by recent leaders the incompetent, inexperienced liars who’ve conned their way into government are a class below, and they proved it beyond any reasonable doubt with a first Budget that will send the UK into a downward spiral.

They said they wouldn’t raise taxes on working people, so they went after the businesses that pay the wages, and thought workers wouldn’t realise they were the ones who were going to get shafted, as businesses make cut backs to stay afloat.

What a complete bunch of liars; and they thought knocking a penny off a pint of beer would make things okay…

Good luck finding a pub still open in a couple of years’ time!

And then there’s liability Lammy, the Foreign secretary with the mouth that won’t quit and the brain that logged off years ago.

You couldn’t make it up; put the guy who called the most powerful leader in the world a ‘woman-hating neo-Nazi sympathising sociopath’ in charge of foreign policy.

It’s the kind of stupidity that makes me consider applying for a job in Keir Starmer’s diplomatic core.

Yes, Lammy should resign, since his boss doesn’t have the cojones (I’m learning Spanish) to do the right thing and give him the sack.

On a more optimistic note at least the Tories now have a leader in Kemi Badenoch with half a chance of putting the country back together again, although who knows what state the place will be in by 2029?

I take no pleasure in being right about what was going to happen if Labour came to power in the UK, but at least I got out in time. Sadly for my family they are in the unenviable position of running a fledgling business, WeFix, under what must be the most anti-business administration in history.
