Festive adverts have hit our screens and the high street is adorned with sparkles, bows and more; Christmas is in our reach. But you can’t get in the Christmas spirit without an appropriately decorated jumper – especially with Christmas jumper day being December 12. One retailer that consistently delivers on its seasonal jumper range is supermarket giant Sainsbury’s.
And despite having launched only recently, its Christmas-themed knitwear is already receiving a lot of love, including a vintage-style jumper that looks straight out of Home Alone. Priced at £22, the Matching Family Women’s Christmas Vintage-Style Jumper is as Christmassy as you can get without being OTT and merges festive joy with style.
Available in sizes for all the family – men, women and children – you can kit out the whole clan in matching sweaters for the big day. Even better, you can snap it up for just £7 with TopCashback’s deal. How does it work?
Simply sign up here as a new member to deals site TopCashback, and you’ll receive a bonus £15 cash back after your first purchase. Once you’re signed up, simply click through to Sainsbury’s from the TopCashback site and purchase the jumper, reports the Mirror.
While it may seem like you’re paying full price, within seven working days you’ll receive the £15 into your member account which can be withdrawn and spent as you wish, effectively making your jumper only £7.
The recently launched festive knit is already a hit with customers, garnering a handful of enthusiastic five-star reviews and it’s easy to see why. The jumper is described as having a cosy, homely charm with a warm finish and adorned with a fair isle design that includes reindeer, stars, snowflakes, holly, and Christmas trees — with the front featuring an eye-catching embroidered ‘Christmas.
It’s a festive, vivid and vintage twist on your classic garish Christmas sweater – with all the flashing bells and whistles – which shoppers are eager to wear. Alongside its design, fashion fans have praised its warmth and one noted its lovely ‘fleecy’ feel.
One pleased Tu Clothing shopper commented: “Lovely warm and cosy well made attractive jumper not cheap looking.”
Another stated: “I needed a replacement Christmas jumper this year and searched everywhere until I found something that appealed – this one! It has all the classic Xmassy patterns that I like (snowflakes, holly, fir trees and reindeer) in a red and green colour way that are iconic Christmas colours.”
They continued to praise the fabric, saying, “The fabric itself is made from recycled polyester which at first I was dubious about but in fact it is really soft with a fleecy feel and is cosy and warm. I can’t wait to wear it to work on Christmas Jumper Day (Thursday, December 12th) and throughout the festive period. It puts me in a party mood and is good value for the price.”
A third reviewer echoed this approval and said: “This is a gorgeous Christmas jumper. Can’t wait to wear it.”
With no negative reviews to go off just yet, although it’s high conunt of polyester in the material (62%) may not be suited for everyone. There are of course other options as Sainsbury’s isn’t the only shop to unleash the festivities early with New Look, M&S and many more adding some festive sparkle to their (virtual) shelves.
