Prince William has shared a behind-the-scenes sneak peek ahead of The Earthshot Prize award ceremony.
The Prince of Wales posted a video on social media counting down to the beginning of the event.
He accompanied the clip with the caption: “The stage is almost set… We can’t wait for you to see it!”
Earlier today, Prince William discussed the measures his family takes around the house in a build to reduce their impact on the environment.

He said: “Yeah, well, you know, every family tries to do what they can to sort of help with the environment.
“We go through all the basics of recycling and making sure we minimise water use and turning off lights when we leave the house and stuff like that, and making sure, which is sensible in what we do around the environment.
“I think every family has these conversations. You just try to do what you can.”
He added regarding The Eartshot Prize initiative: “The Earthshot Prize has got to be a bit more global than that.

“We are trying to do big scale ambition and big scale business to tackle some of the solutions.
“‘But I brought the children along that journey and tonight I hope they are watching and they are proud of kind of what we are try to do here, which is to really galvanise that energy that enthusiasm to make real impact.”
The award ceremony is the focal point of William’s trip to South Africa, it is the fourth annual Earthshot Prize and the first in Africa.
A Kensington Palace spokesperson described the award ceremony as the Prince of Wales’s “Super Bowl” moment.

Earlier today, Prince William met with the 15 finalists of the 2024 Earthshot Prize at the world-famous Kirstenbosch Gardens in Cape Town.
William had the opportunity to speak with all finalists, learning about their experiences with the Earthshot Prize Fellowship Programme and their outlook ahead of this evening’s ceremony.
The finalists represent a diverse range of environmental solutions across five categories.
These include: Protect and Restore Nature, Revive our Oceans, Clean our Air, Build a Waste Free World, and Fix our Climate.
