Former darts champion Gerwyn Price has ended speculation about his future in the sport, confirming he will continue playing after a period of reflection with his family.
The 39-year-old Welshman took to Instagram to share his decision with his 305,000 followers, admitting that darts has become an integral part of his life.
The announcement comes after a challenging period for Price, who has faced questions about potential retirement following a string of disappointing results.
Price’s recent form has seen him struggle significantly in major competitions.
The former champion finished second-bottom in this year’s Premier League campaign.
He also suffered an early exit from the PDC World Darts Championship, adding to his disappointing run of results.

His difficulties have continued, with Price failing to reach the final of any TV event over the past year.
In a candid Instagram story, Price revealed the personal impact of his career in darts.
“When the last 10 years have been constant travelling, darts or downtime with the family, you lose touch with everything else going on around you without even knowing it,” he wrote.
The former champion explained how the recent absence of competitions had affected him.

“Now, there’s no darts; it’s like trying to fill a void. I finally realise my life is darts; without it, I don’t know what to do with myself,” Price admitted.
He concluded with a defiant message: “Fortunately, or unfortunately for some, you’re all stuck with me.”
Price’s absence from the upcoming Grand Slam of Darts marks a significant shift in his career trajectory.
