Top US lawyer Alan Dershowitz thinks Donald Trump “shot himself in the foot” in the final stages of campaigning.
Speaking on GB News, Dershowitz said the 78-year-old was on the cusp of victory before a disastrous final week of campaigning threw the race wide open again.
He is now predicting a Kamala Harris victory, but feels it will go right down to the wire.
“Everything so far is predictable and has come out as anticipated”, he said.

“Trump had this to win 10 days ago and he blew it in his last week, starting with that terrible event at Madison Square Garden with that idiot complaining about Puerto Rico.
“I also think Harris blew it by not naming the Governor of Pennsylvania to be her running mate. The state would have gone clearly to her.

“Both candidates have shot themselves in the foot. Trump did it later in the game which may cost him the election.”
He added: “If I had to make a prediction now, I would softly go for Harris.
“But I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump pulls it out. If he loses, it’s his fault. He should have stuck to the script.”
With votes being counted, both candidates found themselves went into election day neck and neck in the polls.

Trump led his fourth and final rally after midnight before a packed arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
He promoted his dedication to tackling the border crisis while attacking the economic record of the Biden-Harris years.
