Dick Strawbridge and Angel Adoree’s family have been celebrating some joyous news recently, which the husband and wife shared on the latest episode of their podcast, Dick and Angel’s Chat… Eau.
The family became household names when they starred in Channel 4’s Escape to the Chateau, a series which followed the family of four when they transformed their lives by moving to a French chateau.
Their children Arthur and Dorothy still accompany their parents on their various adventures, with the youngsters recently joining Adoree, 46, and Strawbridge, 65, on their UK tour.
The proud parents are often updating fans on what the two children are up to, and in their latest podcast episode they detailed how their daughter had been over the moon over some baby news in the family.
The couple explained how they’d recently met Heidi, their great niece.
“She’s a beautiful little baby girl,” Strawbridge shared, adding: “If you’ve listed to the other podcasts, we did the baby shower for them.”
“We’ve been really invested and probably no one more so than our little Dorothy!” Adoree noted.
“Dorothy has been excited, I think we couldn’t have stayed any longer – we’d need to be back in the car with suitcases,” her father quipped.
He continued: “Dorothy and Sarah speak quite a lot on the phone, they have little phone calls. So Dorothy’s seen Heidi most days.”
Adoree detailed a sweet habit of her daughter as she added: “They did this lovely little thing, Sarah had had like a piece of laminated paper that said every week what the baby was like, it was like, ‘it’s the size of a walnut.’

“They’ve had a million conversations, ‘now it’s the size of an orange, now it’s a watermelon, now it’s the size of an avocado.’that kind of thing”
“Not in that order, wow!” Strawbridge joked, to which Adoree replied: “No!”
She added: “Dorothy could not wait to meet Heidi. We were all excited, Arthur as well.
“But I mean Dorothy was literally like, ‘are we there yet? Are we there yet?'”
“When we turned up, grandma and grampa were there. Everyone gets called different things, don’t they?” Strawbridge pondered before explaining what he prefers to be referred to my his grandchildren.
In another recent podcast instalment, the two shared their surprise at one of Dorothy’s hidden talents.

The Strawbridge family celebrated a new arrival recently
As the two discussed some of the things they’ve been up to since the autumn months started, Strawbridge mentioned how he had taken the children fishing, asking Adoree: “Who was the best fisherperson in our house?”
“Well, aside from you, Dorothy,” she replied, making clear the surprise this had come as to the clan.
“Yeah. As a definition of who’s the best fisherperson, who catches the biggest fish?” Strawbridge probed, to which Adoree once again answered “Dorothy”.
“And it’s ridiculous!” Strawbridge commented. “Dorothy started catching the biggest fish the first time she got given a princess fishing rod from Disney.
“It was about three foot tall, it was bright pink with princesses on it and she got herself a seven-pound corp, it was ridiculous wasn’t it?”
