Nigel Farage has seen signs he believes show Donald Trump will triumph over Kamala Harris in the US election.

The Reform UK leader has been reporting from a polling booth on the outskirts of Scranton, Pennsylvania, a key battleground state.

Farage, watching voters arrive, said: “It’s interesting, these are working people, people in overalls, people in nurses’ uniforms and stuff like that.

“There are more Trump signs on the lawn than there were four years ago, even eight years ago.

“He’s not quite the feared figure he used to be.

“I have to say, this state is key, from everything I’m seeing, early voting numbers etc, I still genuinely believe Trump will take this state.

“If he takes this state, I don’t see how he can’t win the election.

Nigel Farage attended one of Trump’s rallies last night in the battleground state, where he listened to the former President praise his leadership of Reform in Britain.

Trump said: “What he’s [Farage] is doing is what we did a few years ago. He’s doing a great job,he’s always been my friend for some reason.

“He liked me, I liked him, and he’s shaking it up pretty good over there. He was the big winner of the last election in the UK and he’s a spectacular man and very respected, Nigel Farage.”

At that point the audience applauded and Nigel Farage, complete in light blue MAGA cap, stood up and pumped his fist.

“He’s a little bit of a rebel, but that’s good you know, don’t change Nigel,” Trump finished.

But the real headlines in British news outlets from Farage’s visit to America came after he told the former President to accept the result of the election if he loses.

Mr Farage said: “If it was clear and decisive then maybe it’s time [for Trump] to go and play golf at Turnberry.”

The US is preparing for civil unrest in the wake of the election with many shops and homes bordering up their windows in case of riots.

Last election there was a riot at the US Capito after the result which saw supporters of Mr Trump storm Congress in a bid to thwart the certification of Joe Biden’s election victory.

This election has been on a knife edge for weeks with national polls predicting wins for Harris and Trump.
