McConnell Property has a new award to add to their long history after it was named Commercial Estate Agency Of The Year for 2024.
The firm can trace its origins back to 1854 when the original firm of Ephraim Brown & Son opened in Belfast’s Donegall Street. It was acquired by businessman Paddy Brennan in 2022.
Today, the practice employs more than 30 property professionals, based out of an office in Belfast’s Montgomery Street.
McConnell Property says it’s proud of its work, as shown in how they described it in their entry: “McConnell Property provides a best-in-class service to its clients, covering all aspects of commercial property.
“Once again McConnell Property has achieved significant market-disrupting growth across all areas of the business over the last 12 months, seeing the addition of some fantastic new clients and personnel throughout the industry.”
The judges were impressed too, saying that “this entry showed the best evidence of market presence and growth and a number of outstanding projects”.
Greg Henry, director at McConnell Property, spoke about the award as a sign of progress after the business has gone through extensive change. “It was great, and thanks very much to the sponsors.
“We’ve been very busy in our growth throughout the last 12 months, and the 24 months since Paddy bought the business.
“It’s been a good year and it was great to pick up the award.
“We have changed significantly. There’s been 19 new members of staff, 12 have left. So it’s a totally new business since 2022.”
And he said the firm was celebrating big wins in shopping centre clients. “We continue to grow the business in personnel and/or client base.
“We’ve just brought in The Junction and The Boulevard for management instructions.
“We’re pushing that side of the business as well as the agency side, so we’re just always growing.”
