A man who came to the aid of a homeowner was shot and wounded after armed thugs broke into a home in King, say York Regional Police.
The 39-year-old shooting victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the home invasion on Sunday around 6:30 p.m.
When police responded to a residence in the area of Paradise Valley Trail and Fairmont Ridge Trail, they found the wounded man, who was rushed to a hospital.
Officers said they were told the man, who did not live at the home, was shot by suspects who were last seen getting into a pickup truck.
The first suspect is described as 5-foot-8, with a medium build, and tan skin. He wore blue jeans, a white hooded sweatshirt, a black T-shirt, a black face covering, black shoes and black gloves.
The second suspect is described as black with a thin build. He wore mostly black clothing and grey shoes with white soles, white socks, yellow gloves and might have had tattoos on his right wrist area.
