Amanda Holden has a specific request every time she boards a Ryanair flight, according to her friend Alan Carr. The pair travelled to Italy together for their TV show, ‘The Italian Job’, which is set to become ‘The Spanish Job’ in the upcoming season.

Comedian Alan revealed on the Saving Grace podcast with GK Barry that Amanda always asks for ice with her rosé wine on flights, but unfortunately, Ryanair can’t accommodate this request. He joked: “Unless they scrape it off the wings love there’s not gonna be any ice on this flight. She thinks it’s the Ivy with wings.”

The duo, known from Britain’s Got Talent and Chatty Man respectively, bought a rundown Tuscan home for 85p under Italy’s €1 home scheme for the second season of their hit BBC show, ‘Amanda & Alan’s Italian Job’. The scheme aims to counteract depopulation in rural towns by attracting new residents, as reported by Metro.

In April, it was reported that their efforts have resulted in a profit of £187,777 after they accepted an offer on the home two months after it was listed.

In the podcast, the former chat show host spilled the beans on several celebrities, discussing some of the A-listers that previously graced his show. He disclosed in one episode how Lady Gaga was compelled to urinate in a bin due to her elaborate costume preventing her from changing.

“She was wearing a dress that was a massive bow and she had a big long fringe down [her face] and she couldn’t get out of it so she p****d in a bin,” Alan said.

He also revealed that he would frequently get “really p****d” on the show. He told Grace that on one occasion he got so drunk he brought up a guest’s lazy eye.

“You got one on dim, you got one on dazzle. One eye looking at you one eye looking for you. But the thing is they kept topping up that bloody globe thing,” he said.

He also reflected on a live TV mistake early in his career: “I did Crufts live and I had a seven-minute item about a dog and the dog slipped its lead and ran off.”
