Strictly Come Dancing’s head judge Shirley Ballas shouted at Craig Revel Horwood and left Motsi Mabuse leaving her seat as they engaged in an awkward altercation.

Tonight, Montell Douglas and Johannes Radebe left the judges stunned with their Waltz to the iconic Whitney Houston song for Icons Week.

Week after week, the couple have been climbing up the scoreboard and getting positive feedback from the judges.

However, tonight the couple left Ballas rising from her seat and standing over Horwood as she disagreed with her and negatively commented on the couple’s performance.

Walking to the judge’s panel, Horwood rolled his eyes and began: “I would have liked to have seen it a little bit softer, a little bit lighter throughout.

“It bothered me that your frame was constantly going in and out…” however, Ballas wasn’t letting him get away with the comments and she stood from her chair and asked: “What are you doing?”

Mabuse also got up from her seat and shouted: “Stop, stop stop….I am going home!” before Ballas took her seat.

Pointing at her fellow judge, Ballas shouted: “Wait, wait, wait. Darling, he had that beautiful frame, he dropped his arms, and she looked at him willingly, ready to go with soft movements.

“With beautiful footwork, improving. WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT?” before Horwood clapped back: “A choice darling, a choice.

“Because I didn’t know whether they were in or out all the way through that.”

“They were in and out of hold,” Ballas ended before taking her seat, leaving Horwood to take one final jibe: “Says cousin IT. Sorry, the Cher wig didn’t quite work out for you.”

Making light of the incident, Mabuse noted: “There is a lesson to be learned there. When mummy and daddy fight, get out of the room kids.”

Discussing her comments with Claudia Winkleman after, Douglas said: “I don’t want to cry, why am I crying?

“Emotional. It is a lot of control, the moves are simple but it means you need to control yourself and I am a bit of a wild character.

“So he has to calm me down but I love that I am able to just bounce off of Jo Jo and that is all I use.

“He is like ‘Use me’ and I do that every single time so thank you for being my rock on the dancefloor as well as off.”

Radabe praised his partner for how far she has come and noted: “Honestly, week one. If you asked Montell to do half of that, it wouldn’t have happened.

“But now, she feels like Luba Mushtuk in my arms.”

The couple scored an impressive 35 out of a possible 40.
