A pedestrian has died after a road accident in Co Armagh.
The victim was found lying in the road with serious injuries near Crossmaglen after police responded to a call.
Emergency services attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
His name has not yet been released.
Police said they were contacted shortly after 11.50pm on Friday night about concerns for the safety of a man on the Cullaville Road.
“Officers attended the scene to find a male lying in the road with serious injuries.
“CPR was commenced until the arrival of ambulance staff but sadly the man was pronounced dead at the scene.”
Detective Inspector Michael Winters appealed for anyone who was travelling on the Cullaville Road around the time of the collision and who witnessed anything or captured dash-cam footage to contact police.
The Cullaville Road remains closed.
