Cornwall’s self-proclaimed ‘wizard’ has been revealed as the passenger who was dragged off a British Airways flight for wearing a ‘MAGA hat’. Late last week, it was reported who two women had been fighting after discussing their views on Donald Trump as they prepared to fly to Austin, Texas, from London Heathrow Airport.
It was reported that the two women, one in her 40s and the other in her 60s, had come to blows and the police were involved. The identity of the women remained a mystery but now former TV host turned magician Antonia Harman, from Newquay, has come forward as the woman in the MAGA hat.
Antonia, 43, said that she was the one that was attacked, but despite this she was still removed from the flight on Monday, October 28. She said she was punched out of the blue by a woman in her sixties who she believes is from Mexico.
“People hate Trump so much that you can’t talk about him – it’s a political war,” Antonia said to the Daily Mail. She explained she had been chatting to people on the shuttle bus about what to do when she arrived in Austin.
The conversation evolved into a chat about politics and Antonia spoke to a man in his 30s about Donald Trump’s appearance on the Joe Rogan podcast. She continued “I’m a big fan of Donald Trump and I make no secret of that, I think you should be able to air your political views without being physically attacked for them.”
Antonia said that as the bus neared the plane an older woman walked into her, and as she turned the woman “went berserk” and “looked possessed by a demon”.
She said: “She punched me with full force in the face and then moved away. I was so shocked and horrified that I burst into tears, I could not believe what had just happened. She went in the direction of economy and I went and took my seat in business class. For about five minutes I sat there crying and shaking and then felt I had to say something to someone.”
Antonia said she called for an in-flight supervisor and explained the situation, and at first they were sympathetic but then the mood on the plane changed. She believes the other woman lied about what happened and claimed she was the one who was assaulted.
Then, Antonia claims she was told to leave the plane by armed police and was “marched off in front of other passengers”.
British Airways declined to comment. A spokeswoman for the Metropolitan Police said: “Shortly after 12.45pm on Monday, October 28, police at Heathrow were made aware of an incident involving two women waiting to board a plane in Terminal 5.
“A woman in her 40s and a woman in her 60s made counter allegations of affray. Enquiries are ongoing.”
