Luke Madeley opened the scoring for the hosts from a penalty corner with 17 minutes on the clock before Johnny McKee continued his fine form and netted his sixth goal of the season to equalise.
Two more penalty corner goals from Madeley and Philip Brown saw the scoreline brought to two apiece before Ryan Spencer gave Three Rock the lead at the beginning of the final quarter.
However, with the final play of the game, Jake Rowe scored the fourth penalty corner goal of the fixture to force the sides to penalty run-ins where the Dubliners ran out 5-4 winners.

Midway through the second quarter, Monkstown found their equaliser through Geoff Cole to make it 1-1 going into the half-time break.
However, after the restart, the Nelson brothers combined once more as Daniel again found Ben, who lobbed over the onrushing goalkeeper to restore his side’s advantage.
The result was then sealed when Andy Williamson netted his fifth goal of the 2024/25 season to double the lead and seal a 3-1 home win.
It keeps Lisnagarvey top of the division and on maximum points ahead of a crunch clash with Banbridge.

David Gallagher put the result beyond doubt when he netted his first goal of the 2024/25 campaign to bring the scoreline to 3-0 and wrapped up all three points for his side.
The defeat sees Instonians lose the top spot in the division to Saturday’s opponents as they now drop to third place behind Cookstown.
