Forward Oliver Kapanen had an impressive training camp and the 21-year-old rookie was able to earn a job with the Canadiens ahead of Joshua Roy, who was sent to the AHL’s Laval Rocket.

The Canadiens couldn’t send Kapanen to Rocket because he has a contract with Swedish Hockey League club Timra IK that stipulates he must play there if he’s not in the NHL.

Did the Canadiens make the right decision by keeping Kapanen and has he done enough to show he should spend the entire season in the NHL?

Let us know what you think in the comments section below, where you can also post a question you’d like Nilan and Green to answer on an upcoming bonus episode.
