Former DUP councillor Luke Poots has been banned from driving and fined after being convicted of driving a tractor while using a mobile phone on a call to his father, Stormont Speaker Edwin Poots.
Having heard that Poots had driven the New Holland tractor from his home in Lisburn to court, District Judge Michael Ranaghan suspended the driving disqualification until midnight.
