A 36-year-old man is accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in the North Durham area.

Durham Regional Police say an investigation began on Tuesday and two days later Jason Bent was arrested.

The Brampton man is charged with sexual assault, sexual interference; invitation to sexual touching; agreement to commit an offence against a person under the age of 18 years; agreement to commit an offence against a person under 16; and possession of child pornography.

The accused is known to frequent London, Barrie and the GTA.

CAMH PATIENT ON THE RUN?

A 41-year-old man is sought after he went missing from a downtown psychiatric facility.

Toronto Police say Ahmed Ahmed was last seen in the area of Ossington Ave. and Queen St. W. – near the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health – around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.

He’s described as six-feet-tall, 250 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, and he is missing fingers.

Ahmed was last seen wearing a white jersey, caramel-coloured pants, white shoes and a white head/hair covering.

He is known to frequent the Regent Park area.

Ahmed is currently bound by a Form 49 Warrant of Committal and was found not criminally responsible for two counts of aggravated assault.

If located, do not approach and call 911 immediately.

ASSAILANT SOUGHT FOR BRAMPTON STABBING

The hunt is on for a man believed to have been responsible for a stabbing last weekend in Brampton.

Peel Regional Police allege the suspect and victim, believed to be unknown to each other, were arguing in the area of Main St. and Steeles Ave. around 4 p.m. on Oct 26 and it ended with the victim being stabbed several times.

The injured 32-year-old man was transported to a hospital and is expected to survive.

Police are looking for a Black man, with a medium build, who was wearing a black toque, black and grey jacket, black hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, beige boots and carrying a dark backpack.

WOMAN, 56, WANTED FOR NUMEROUS TORONTO RETAIL THEFTS

Surriff Marie Atkinson, 56, of Toronto, is wanted for 20 counts each of theft under $5000 and breach of probation after a woman is allegedly stole from a clothing retailer at Queen St. W. and Peter St. as many as 20 times.

Toronto Police say a woman would walk into the clothing store, select numerous items and proceed through the exit doors, passing all points of purchase, making no attempt to pay for the items with a combined value of approximately $25,000 between July and October.

She’s described as five-feet-tall, 130 pounds, with brown hair.

MAN, 21, ALLEGEDLY CAUGHT WITH GUN AFTER STRANGLING WOMAN

A 21-year-old man is accused of assaulting and strangling a woman in Mississauga last weekend.

Peel Regional Police allege a man assaulted a woman on Oct 27 and she suffered minor injuries.

A suspect was subsequently identified and arrested a day later.

Cops also seized a loaded firearm and a one kilogram of a drug, believed to be cocaine.

Dwayne Carter Noel, of Toronto, is charged with possession of a firearm knowing it is unauthorized; possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition; possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking; and breach of a recognizance order.

FOUR MEN SOUGHT FOR HOME INVASION ROBBERY IN WATERDOWN

Hamilton Police are asking Waterdown residents in the Centre Rd. and Parkside Dr. are to review security camera footage following an early morning home invasion and robbery on Wednesday.

Detectives are also asking anyone who was driving in the area around 4:15 a.m. and has dashcamera footage that could be helpful to come forward.

Cops say the incident involves four males, two of whom forcefully entered a residence with weapons and demanded the keys to the two Mercedes sedans parked in the driveway.

Authorities say the home invaders obtained the keys to one of the vehicles and were in the process of stealing it when a struggle ensued with the homeowners that resulted in the thieves fleeing without the car.

No physical injuries were reported by the victims.

Cops say the thieves were operating a stolen white 2006 Hyundai Sonata that was located abandoned outside of Hamilton and the robbery is believed to have been targeted.

Police say the four males are all believed to be in their 20s and were wearing dark hooded sweatshirts and masks.

WITNESSES SOUGHT TO SERIOUS CRASH IN SCARBOROUGH

Investigators are looking for witnesses and video footage after a car crashed into a home in Scarborough on Friday morning.

Toronto Police allege a 26-year-old man was speeding in a black 2015 Nissan Sentra, travelling north on Scarborough Golf Club Rd. near Ellesmere Rd., and failed to stop at the traffic lights at the intersection.

The man drove into a house and suffered life-threatening injuries.

Occupants of the home were uninjured but the house had to be evacuated due to structural and environmental concerns.

MAN, 24, BADLY HURT IN STOUFFVILLE MOTORCYCLE CRASH

A 24-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash in Stouffville on Halloween night.

York Regional Police say officers responded to a single vehicle crash in the area of Millard St. and West Lawn Cr. around 9 p.m. and learned the male rider lost control of his motorcycle, was thrown from the bike and skidded through the intersection.

The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was transported to a trauma centre.
