If you’re asking how it is already November, join the club. How?

But another question you’re going to be posing is, just because it’s November, does that really mean there are Christmas events already happening.

And just like Costco starts selling snowsuits in July, the answer is yes — and some of those events are listed below.

Enjoy the mild weather while you can because before you know, it’ll be that time of year.

Here’s what you need to know to make the necessary plans.

The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair

The country comes to the city at the largest indoor agricultural event in the world (its 102nd, to be exact), bringing visitors the very best in agriculture, food and family fun.

Expect the usual awesomeness, from the grand horse show, agricultural shows, the SuperDogs, delectable culinary offerings, hands-on family fun where you can test your skills on a mechanical bull and learn to lasso, and more than 100 vendors to enjoy.

Oh, and don’t forget Dawson and Pacey, two charismatic alpacas that are serving as the 2024 Royal Ambassadors.

Gallop to Exhibition Place until Nov. 10 (Tuesday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday and Monday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.).

Christmas Tree Arrival

‘Tis the season when the Distillery Historic District welcomes its 55-foot-tall silver fir Christmas tree into Trinity Street Square, marking the unofficial start of the holiday season, and signalling the pending return of everyone’s favourite, the Distillery Winter Village, which kicks off on Nov. 13.

Watch as the massive tree is backed down Trinity St., where it is trimmed to perfection and put up by crane. Once it’s up, the two-week process of decorating it begins.

The tree arrives on-site between 6:30 a.m. and 7 a.m. on Friday. After that, visitors can enjoy hot beverages and delicious market fare before the tree is raised, somewhere between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m.
