Mike Tyson has said it is ‘possible’ he could keep fighting after his controversial bout with Jake Paul despite recently turning 58 years old.
The former undisputed heavyweight world champion ended his professional career back in 2005 when he quit on his stool against Kevin McBride.
He fought in an exhibition bout against Roy Jones Jr in 2020, but shocked the world earlier this year when he agreed terms to step back into the ring once more against the much younger Paul.
Tyson is more than twice the age of the YouTuber-turned-boxer, who has fought professionally 10 times since making his debut in 2020.
Most of Paul’s fights have come against former MMA stars, but his fight against Tyson will be on a different level altogether.
The fight announcement led to concerns being raised about Tyson’s health going into the fight, with doctors warning ‘Iron Mike’ is at risk of fatal injuries.
An ulcer flare up in May only added to those concerns for Tyson’s health with the original fight pushed back from July to November.
But Tyson has repeatedly downplayed any fears about his health for his fight against Tyson, insisting he’s ready to do some damage inside the ring.
And it appears as though he’s willing to consider more fights in the future after going up against Paul.
When asked by talkSport whether he plans to fight again, he replied: “It’s a possibility.”
Tyson has been putting the final touches to his preparations for fighting Paul and has posted multiple clips on social media of him in the gym working hard.
He’s also been filmed inside the ring in some intense sparring sessions and Tyson has revealed the type of opponents he’s been facing.
“Guys that emulate Jake,” Tyson added.
“I bring some big strong guys in to help me push some guys around fighting them.
“I got a lot of movers and a couple of big guys to pretty much go head-to-head with.”
Little over a month after Tyson’s fight with Paul will be the heavyweight rematch bout between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk.
The American boxing icon admitted to being surprised at the result of the original fight back in May.

But he believes a more focused Fury will get the job done this time around when they step back into the ring on December 21.
“Usyk surprised everybody,” he said.
“I think Tyson Fury played the rounds too much.
“I think he needs to stick to fighting serious and hopefully have a different result than last time.”
