Donald Trump previously hinted that if he is re-elected president of the United States, Prince Harry could be deported after allegations that the royal lied about his drug use when he applied for his visa.
Now, however, Eric Trump has suggested that the Duke of Sussex is safe in America because “no one cares” about him or his “unpopular” wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
The Republican candidate’s second son added it’s been “sad to watch” how the couple have failed the Royal Family after moving to California.
“Truthfully, I don’t give a damn about Prince Harry and I don’t think this country does either,” Eric Trump told the Daily Mail.
“My father loved the Queen and I think the monarchy is an incredibly beautiful thing.”
The 40-year-old, who runs the Trump Organization, paid tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II for how she hosted his family in 2019 when then-president Donald and wife Melania, Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump and husband Jared Kushner, Eric and his wife Lara, and Tiffany Trump attended a banquet at Buckingham Palace.
“The late Queen was amazing,” Trump gushed to the outlet. “The way she welcomed my father with open arms was, like, beyond.”
He added: “I can tell you that our father and our entire family has tremendous respect for the monarchy.”
The younger Trump also remembered the new monarch Charles’ past visits to his father’s palatial estate in Florida.
“We’ve known the King forever,” he detailed.
“In fact, I was just digging through a photo album not too long ago and I came across a picture of him with my father, I’m six years old in the lobby of Mar-a-Lago.”
He also praised William and Kate, stating that the future king has never “made a misstep” while the princess “conducts herself so incredibly well and has been such a rock in the next generation of the family.”

As for William’s younger brother, Eric Trump called out Harry for quitting royal life and moving to the U.S. with Meghan and their first child, son Archie, in 2020.
“You look at this one black sheep who doesn’t exactly know where he is, led by a wife that is pretty unpopular, both here and over where you are,” Trump said, adding that Harry appears to have “gone off the deep end and it’s sad to watch.”
As for Harry’s visa status, Trump scoffed, “I don’t give a damn if he did drugs. It means nothing.”
