A 23-year-old Brampton man has been charged with ten offences in connection with a sex trafficking investigation.
It’s alleged Jahmal Paquette exploited a female victim in the sex trade for profit by exercising control over numerous aspects of a her life in the GTA.
Paquette has been charged with four counts of utter threat to cause death, two counts each of procuring and fail to comply with release order and one count each of assault – female over 17, and exercise control.
Peel Regional Police believe there may be more alleged victims in the GTA and are encouraging them to call 905-453-2121, ext. 3555.
FEDERAL OFFENDER SOUGHT
The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Squad is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a federal offender wanted on a Canada-wide warrant as a result of a breaching his statutory release.
Corey Richardson, 55, is serving a 13-year sentence for 13 counts of robbery and is known to frequent the GTA.
Richardson is described as Black, 5-foot-7 and 190 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
He also has several tattoos including “Lord is King” on his left shoulder, Malcolm X with a rifle on his right upper arm, “Christina,” a rose and a heart on the left side of chest, ACC on his right forearm, a rose and “Kim” on his right calf, and “Loca Negra” on his upper back.
