Police have released a picture of a man they would like to speak to following a rape in Bristol city centre. Avon and Somerset Police said on Sunday, March 24, sometime between 2am and 3.30am, the victim was raped in Colston Parade, off Redcliff Hill, Bristol.

The force believe the man pictured may have information which can aid their enquiries into the incident. He is described as white, between 25-30 years old, of medium build. He is shown wearing a white jumper, a black gilet and a white baseball cap.

Investigating officer DC Ewan Brand said: “I must commend the victim’s bravery in coming forward following this incident. I do not underestimate the strength and courage it must have taken.

“We are always mindful in our investigations of the impact that events such as this can have on the victim. We have been carrying out a number of enquiries, such as examining forensic evidence, over the past months and have now reached a stage when we are able to issue this appeal.
