Whether you’re searching for the perfect gift for the special someone in your life, making magical memories with your little ones or simply spending a day off work in festive bliss, there’s nothing quite like a trip to the Christmas markets.

If you’re a proud Bristolian, or if you’re visiting the picturesque city on staycation, a trip to its famous Christmas market is a must. A twinkling celebration of the most magical time of the year in the heart of the city centre, Bristol Christmas Market is known for its enchanting charm and generous offering.

Home to more than 35 stalls, each one offering something different – from gifts and crafts to seasonal treats, they have become a popular and beloved destination for families, friends and colleagues.

This year, The Candy Factory escape room is making a return by popular demand, alongside The Christmas Express Train Ride, new for 2024. The market stalls are open from 10am until 7pm from November 1 until December 23, and visitors can soak up the holiday spirit, enjoy warming drinks, like dreamy hot chocolate or fruity mulled wine whilst wandering through a twinkling wonderland.

Bars and food stalls are open until 10pm daily. With a variety of offerings such as traditional German bratwurst, scrumptious Yorkshire pudding wraps, delicious crêpes and other tempting sweet treats, there really is something for everyone to indulge in.

Father Christmas himself is scheduled to make multiple appearances at the markets, along with magical elves on stilts, bubble-blowing soldiers, balloon artists and heartwarming Christmas choirs. There are plenty of selfie opportunities for families and friends to delight in, with the iconic wooden Weihnactsmann, a twinkling Christmas tree and a festive selfie frame.

From Thursdays to Sundays, visitors will be treated to live music at the Jäger Barn Bar from a variety of talented local performers and there’s even a special daily snow forecast to ensure, despite the unpredictable British weather, we all have the glittering white Christmas experience.

For those planning a festive get-together, whether it’s the office Christmas party or your yearly catch-up with friends – or even a date night with a difference – the market’s ski gondolas, nestled within the Jäger Barn Bar, are the perfect place to host.

Perfect for making special holiday memories, visitors can book a private gondola package for a cosy and exclusive space to enjoy the festive atmosphere away from bustling crowds. Relax in your own festive area for 90 minutes, with a dedicated hostess serving your pre-selected drinks.

Choose from a medium or large drinks package, featuring options such as a one-litre carafe of Glühwein or hot cider, a bottle of Prosecco, or four pints of Paulaner lager. Additional drinks can be purchased at the nearby bar.

Please note this product is only available to visitors aged 18+. Bristol Christmas Market follows the ‘challenge 25 policy’ so you may be asked for ID when purchasing. Please drink responsibly. Do not drink if you are pregnant.
