Former Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan has opened up about the current state of her relationship with the father of her three children, admitting she’s been “blocked” on his phone.

The 34-year- old actress separated from 35-year-old Bristol Rovers footballer Scott Sinclair after a 13-year romance, reports the Mirror. Despite co-parenting their kids, Matilda, nine, Delilah, six, and Charlie, three, Helen confessed communication is not their strong suit, claiming: “I’m on block at the moment on Scott’s phone”.

Discussing the challenges they face as ex-partners on the Life of Bryony podcast, Helen said: “No disrespect to the father of my children, you know, I’ve had three children with him, and I always have a lot of love for him. We’re both good people, but together we were very toxic. I mean, I’m on block at the moment on Scott’s phone. I really am. I’m on block.”

She continued sharing insights into their complex dynamic, adding: “We do each other’s f***g head in. But I know he always will have a love for me, you know, you always have kind of a respect for each other, I know he’s not a bad guy, we’ve just got our own s**t going on.”

Reflecting on their relationship which started when both were only 19, Helen said they had both worked on their growth as individuals. She said: “I think because we’re together from so young, we were just 19, and I just don’t think we had that time to grow, until we’ve split up, we just didn’t work.”

A month ago, the former Coronation Street star appeared on ‘Celebs Go Dating’, seemingly in search of romance. Yet, despite joining the show for love, the actress came under fire by both dating experts and viewers after admitting she had a boyfriend, Robbie Talbot, who she hadn’t spoken about publicly.

The 44-year-old construction firm boss has reportedly been sharing Helen’s home for the past month, following an eight-month relationship.

After initially keeping her new-found love out of the spotlight, Helen opened up to the Mirror during the Pride of Britain Awards, revealing: “I’ve never met anyone like him. He’s not only a lovely man, but he’s really, really funny. And he had the balls to chat me up! Usually I don’t get that, but he has so much confidence. And he really takes care of me.”

Meeting quite unexpectedly at a restaurant back in February, only a short spell before Helen inked a deal with the E4 reality dating show, the chemistry between her and Robbie, who is a former footballer turned construction business owner, was unmistakable. Despite this, Helen followed through with the programme, going as far as kissing other potential suitors.

Helen said that her participation on the show aimed to be “lighthearted” and claimed that she didn’t want to feel remorseful about meeting new people. Helen added: “We were dating, but it was early days and I wanted to do the show. I love the show. I told Robbie I was doing it and he said it was fine.”
