Three people were attacked in an incident in Burnham-on-Sea. One person remains in hospital today (Monday, October 28), having sustained injuries in the incident in Adam Street on Saturday night (October 26).

Avon and Somerset Police were informed of the assault at around 9.35pm by a member of the public who told officers that three people had been assaulted in the town. An eyewitness told SomersetLive: “At about 9:30pm on Saturday night an incident happened in Adam Street.

“The police and ambulance attended. I understand a person was taken to hospital. The police set up a cordon which remained in place until lunchtime on Sunday.”

Photos at the scene show a cordon in place near Shoezone on Adam Street. One person is still in hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening following the incident.
