A person has been arrested after two police vehicles were damaged in Bristol this evening (Monday, October 28). A picture shared on social media shows the smashed windscreen of one police car.

A local police officer said the suspect was also wanted for a separate criminal damage offence. They were also on a warrant for assaulting an emergency worker.

Sergeant Joe Iles, of Avon and Somerset Police, posted a picture of the smashed windscreen on X.

He said in a post at 7.30pm: “This evening, officers arrested a suspect who damaged two of our police vehicles. The individual was also wanted for another criminal damage offence and on a warrant for assaulting an emergency worker.”
