An eco-zealot Labour donor has told super wealthy Britons to “f**k off” as they threaten to leave the UK ahead of Rachel Reeves’ brutal Budget tax raid on Wednesday.

Multi-millionaire Dale Vince has blasted the anti-Labour sentiment that increased taxes, which are set to affect those with “broader shoulders”, will harm the country’s entrepreneurship, dubbing the argument “profoundly stupid”.

As fears continue to grow ahead of the Chancellor’s £35billion expected tax raid, many have predicted a British “brain-drain”, as wealthy residents are expected to flee to states with lower taxation.

Reeves is reportedly mulling over closing inheritance tax loopholes, increasing capital gains tax and extending a freeze on income tax thresholds.

Vince, who donated £5million to Labour during the 2024 General Election, delivered a foul-mouthed tirade to wealthy Britons.

The green energy boss said that those who foster such beliefs ought to leave, saying: “If people only live here because they pay less tax, they should f**k off.”

He added: “This is a brilliant country. There’s no way people won’t live here because of a fairer tax system.”

Vince also declared that he wanted to influence Government policy, although not through financial means.

Vince has also donated to eco-activist group Just Stop Oil, whose recent antics have been widely criticised after two climate protestors threw soup on Vincent van Gogh’s Sunflowers.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

The latest protest was described as “criminally idiotic” by the judge who dished out prison sentences to the arsonists.

Founder of Pimlico Plumbers Charlie Mullins is one of the top taxpayers in the UK who has committed to leaving the country.

He recently revealed that he had put his £12million penthouse on the market in September to prevent taxation on his assets.

While Vince has spoken out, other Labour donors, such as Sainsbury’s chair Lord Sainsbury, have been quieter on the issue.

Vince has also criticised protestors fighting against Labour’s step towards decarbonisation.

He said: “Countryside dwellers need to accept that this is a contribution to our national economy. Some aren’t used to it.”

Hailing from Great Yarmouth, Vince established his energy business Ecotricity almost thirty years ago after attaching a pylon to a wind-powered telephone in Glastonbury.

He is also the founder of diamond company Skydiamond, as well as vegan-run football club Forest Green Rovers.

When he left school at 15, Vince said that he “didn’t want a job” and that “without a job, living in town, you’re economically marginalised”.

He ended up living on the road for ten years in various different vehicles, including buses and trucks that he either built or rebuilt himself.

He is now listed as one of the richest individuals in the country, worth £100million.
