Ulster Elks will be hoping to continue their strong start to the EYHL season as they take on Old Alexandra at UUJ on Saturday.

A win for the university side could see them finish the weekend as high as second place in the division and overtake Saturday’s opponents.

Joel Cathcart’s side have garnered eight points from their opening five games this season and come into this weekend’s fixture off the back of a 2-1 win over UCD.

Summer recruit Audrey Sawyers has been the standout player for her side this campaign, netting three times since joining the club and is likely to be a threat once more on Saturday.

The Ulster side now prepare to face a side that sits one place above them in the table, separated by just two points.

They too come into the fixture off the back of a victory with two Abigail Russell strikes and a goal from Emily O’Donnell securing a 3-2 win against Pembroke Wanderers last time out.

Ulster rivals Pegasus are also in action as they travel to Dublin to take on seventh-placed Railway Union.

The Belfast club are currently fifth in the table and are yet to lose a game in normal time this campaign.

Meanwhile, youngster Anna Pim is looking to score for a fourth week running having netted in recent games against UCC, Catholic Institute and Ulster Elks.

They face a Railway side who have lost three of their last four outings and currently sit just two points above the relegation places.

In the Legacy Wealth Management Premier League champions Queen’s University are looking to continue their faultless start as they travel to Ballymoney.

Simon Bell’s side have won all five of their opening games and are yet to concede a goal.

Meanwhile, Ireland international Zoe Wilson has been in fine form having scored in each of her last three games.

In contrast, opponents Ballymoney have had a difficult start to the campaign having picked up just three points from their opening four games.

However, they come into the game off the back of their first win having beaten Omagh 3-1 last weekend thanks to goals from Abby Tutty, Koren Ferguson and Rebecca Ross.

Elsewhere title hopefuls Portadown will be looking to maintain the pressure on QUB as they travel to bottom of the League Banbridge.

The visitors come into the game having dropped points for the first time this season with a 3-3 draw against Lisnagarvey last weekend.

However, midweek goals from Lara Wilson and Emily Adamson helped seal a 2-0 win over Mossley, leaving them two points of top spot.

Opponents Banbridge come into the tie having lost all three games this season and are one point behind ninth-placed Omagh.
