Chris McCausland has revealed the Halloween tradition he shares with his daughter Sophie as he gears up for his latest Strictly Come Dancing performance.

The comic and his dance partner Dianne Buswell are set to bring some Saturday night fever to the BBC One dance floor with a Samba to Bee Gees’ Stayin’ Alive on October 26.

Ahead of the spooky-themed evening, Chris discussed his family’s Halloween festivities, remarking: “I take my daughter trick or treating around our neighbourhood. You can always tell the people that are into it as they’ll have a little pumpkin in the window, I think that’s the sign now isn’t it” and humorously added: “I’ve just got a sign that says stay away!”.

Further sharing his skeptism towards the supernatural, he quipped: “I don’t believe in any of it. I think if there were ghosts, you wouldn’t be able to see anything else but ghosts. Imagine all the ghost bees.”

Recalling a past conversation with Gyles Brandreth, the Have I Got News For You star opened up about his apprehensions regarding fatherhood, confessing: “I was in such a dilemma about it because I knew I would regret not having kids, but the thought of having kids terrified me.”
