Around 509 migrants crossed the Channel from France on Thursday, new figures show.
The migrants came across in 11 small boats on Thursday, according to the Home Office.
At least 242 migrants have made the illegal journey so far today.
The crossings take the total number of small boat migrants so far this year to 29,396, just 41 short of the 29,437 who crossed during the whole of last year.
