A local vegan burger brand is opening a second Bristol restaurant, almost three years after launching on Deliveroo and some 17 months after opening its first Bristol dine-in restaurant at Wapping Wharf’s Cargo 2.

In a post to Instagram on Wednesday, October 22, the team at VeBurger shared a photo of shop signage at their newest location on Whiteladies Road. Alongside this, they described it as being ‘big news’, and wrote: “Some of you might have already seen this on your daily walks… and we can’t believe we’ve had to keep this to ourselves for so long!

“We can finally share the amazing news with you all that we are opening our second location in Bristol, and what better place than Whiteladies Road! We’ve had such big love since opening in Wapping Wharf that we just couldn’t keep up, so now we’re joining all the other amazing independent businesses on Whiteladies Road by opening our second and much bigger restaurant there!

“Of course, there will be lots of giveaways, including a 100 FREE burger giveaway on the opening and more. Stay tuned to find out more…” They also added that the opening date is ‘to be confirmed’.

VE Burger opened its Wapping Wharf site on May 29, 2023, following a successful launch exclusively on Deliveroo in Bristol back in 2021. Taking to the comments section, fans were quick to share their excitement.

One wrote: “Love seeing 100 per cent vegan businesses grow. Congratulations lovelies.” While a second said: “Amazing news. Whiteladies Road has been lacking a vegan joint like this” and a third commented: “My all time absolute favourite takeout and now it’s even closer!”
