Heading into this season, Canadiens management said the goal was to be “in the mix” for a playoff spot.

After getting pounded 7-2 by the New York Rangers Tuesday night at the Bell Centre, the Canadiens had a 2-4-1 record and were in last place in the Atlantic Division. The Canadiens now look like they’re more in the mix to get the No. 1 overall pick at next year’s NHL Draft.

What’s gone wrong?

That’s one of the questions answered on this week’s Hockey Inside/Out Show as former Canadiens teammates and Stanley Cup champions Chris Nilan and Rick Green join The Gazette’s Stu Cowan.

Our panelists also debate wether the devastating hit that the Rangers’ Jacob Trouba delivered on the Canadiens’ Justin Barron was dirty or legal — and much more.

You can watch a new Hockey Inside/Out Show every week, along with three bonus episodes. Please let us know what you think about the show in the comments section below.
