Let the Taylor Swift games begin in Toronto!

Destination Toronto has launched a Toronto (Taylor’s Version) scavenger hunt contest ahead of her six Toronto shows at Rogers Centre in November with 13 song clues leading to iconic locations throughout the city.

With each clue solved, scavenger hunt participants will be entered into a contest for a grand prize weekend getaway in Toronto while their involvement also helps support a charitable donation of up to $13,000 to the Community Music Schools of Toronto.

“As Swifties solve song clues, they will also discover iconic city landmarks, cultural attractions, urban green spaces and more,” said Destination Toronto CEO and President Andrew Weir said in a statement. “When fans truly explore our city, more communities and businesses benefit from that visitor spending.”

Running from Oct. 23 until Nov. 29, fans can sign up for a digital pass at Toronto (Taylor’s Version) Scavenger Hunt Contest on destinationtoronto.ca and check-in on the digital pass once they are in the vicinity of the city landmark.

Every check-in near a clue location unlocks an entry into the raffle.

The grand prize for the scavenger hunt features a weekend for two at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto, dinner at the 360 Restaurant atop the CN Tower, and a $500 gift card for CF Toronto Eaton Centre.

A weekly prize will also be awarded offering winners a curated Taylor Swift-themed gift box.

Each check-in will also help raise funds for Community Music Schools of Toronto (formerly Regent Park School of Music) that provides free music lessons, instruments, and social development programs to children aged 4-18.

Destination Toronto will donate $7,000 to the school, and for every check-in during the scavenger hunt, an additional $50 will be donated up to a maximum of $13,000.

A track recorded by the school’s students was sampled in Taylor’s song Nice to Have a Friend off her Lover album.

Destination Toronto says over $282 million in economic impact and over $152 million in direct spending is expected during Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour run in the city.
