A 27-year-old woman is now sought for the deadly stabbing of an alleged associate – a teenage boy – in an auto theft ring during a vehicle theft in Richmond Hill over the summer.
York Regional Police say the stabbed boy was dumped at a hospital around 6 a.m. on Aug. 8.
“The victim was accompanied by two other males, one of which left immediately after they dropped the victim off,” Const. James Dickson said in a statement Wednesday.
“The victim was pronounced deceased a short time later,” he said, adding the boy has now been identified as a 16-year-old from Montreal.
At the time of the stabbing, police alleged the two men and the stabbing victim had been involved in a vehicle theft on Kersey Cr. – near Yonge St. and Major Mackenzie Dr. W. – around 4:45 a.m. that day.
It’s unknown exactly where the stabbing occurred but the stolen vehicle was recovered later that morning in a North York parking lot – near Weston Rd. and Sheppard Ave. W.
Investigators released images of two unidentified suspects – one man spotted by a security camera dropping the victim at the hospital and another man captured on video exiting the stolen vehicle and walking away from the area.
One of those suspects was subsequently identified and arrested.
Isaiah Mentor Lorguste, 19, of Montreal, was charged with theft of a motor vehicle over $5,000.
And a Canada-wide warrant has now been issued for the arrest of a Mississauga woman.
Katherine Bergeron-Pinzarrone is wanted for second-degree murder.
“Officers are also looking to identify a man in relation to this incident and are appealing to the public to help locate a suspect vehicle – a 2013 Mercedes C300 white, with black tinted windows and Quebec licence plate X25SWG,” Dickson said.
“Investigators have now determined the individuals involved are part of a larger auto theft ring and have issued warrants for two additional suspects,” he added.
Lensly Francois, 31, of Saint-Hubert, Quebec, and William Gallant, 26, of Quebec City, Quebec, are wanted for theft of a motor vehicle over $5,000, conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, and breach of probation.
“The investigation is ongoing and officers are asking anyone who has not yet spoken to police to please come forward,” Dickson said.
Anyone with information regarding this information, or the whereabouts of the suspects or suspect vehicle, is asked to call the Homicide Unit at 1-866-876-5423, ext. 7865, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
