• Ford adds extra features to Mustang Mach-E for 2025 while dropping the price
  • There’s also a new heat pump to improve efficiency in cold weather
  • A package on the Premium trim adds styling cues from the next-step-up GT trim

Ford has announced the all-electric 2025 Mustang Mach-E, which receives new features, along with a $2,000 price drop in Canada. The new additions include a heat pump for improved efficiency, especially in colder weather. The 2025 version will start at $52,995 in Canada, before taxes, delivery charge, and any dealer fees, and also before any applicable provincial or federal “green” vehicle rebates.

The Mustang Mach-E also offers the latest version of BlueCruise, the automaker’s hands-free highway driving system, which is now capable of making automatic lane changes. Ford said that, based on its tests, the new system automates up to 45% of lane changes on an average drive. When set to automatic mode, it will make a lane change if traffic ahead of it is going below its set speed, or if it’s in the passing lane and the vehicle behind it is too close.

Mach-E buyers will also be able to select how they purchase their BlueCruise, whether it’s via a 90-day complimentary trial, a one-year plan, or a one-time purchase option that won’t require reactivation.

A new Sport Appearance Package available on the Premium model adds design cues from the next-step-up GT trim, including red Brembo brake calipers, 19-inch high-gloss black wheels, black door cladding and wheel lips, unique front fascia and grille shield, sport pedals, and red accent stitching. The Premium trim also adds standard ventilated front seats.

On all models, the previous dial gear selector in the console is gone, replaced with a column-mounted shifter that frees up console space.

Ford will also offer a new Connectivity Package, which includes a 5G Wi-Fi hotspot for up to ten personal devices and available up to 15 metres (50 feet) from the vehicle; in-vehicle screen apps such as YouTube or karaoke when the vehicle is parked; audio streaming apps via Alexa; and connected navigation. This will also be available through a one-time purchase, rather than setting up a plan.

New exterior colours for 2025 are Molten Magenta Metallic, Velocity Blue Metallic, and Desert Sand; and there are three new wheel designs.

The Mustang Mach-E is available in Select, Premium, GT, and Mach-E Rally trims, and, depending on the trim, in rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive. Peak power, again dependent on trim, ranges from 264 to 365 horsepower, while torque is as high as 700 lb-ft in the Rally, or in the GT with its optional performance upgrade.
